What are the participation and performance requirements for CertLink?
A diplomate must answer questions on a quarterly basis, with an option to opt out of one quarter annually.
After four years of participation in CertLink (beginning January 2026), the ABD will measure the diplomate’s cumulative score to ensure the passing standard has been met.
If the passing score has been met, then the diplomate will have a “CertLink Holiday” during the fifth year. A new CertLink assessment period will begin in Year 6.
If the passing score has not been met, then the diplomate will automatically be scheduled to take a catch-up exam in Year 5.
