Test Committees and Directors

The American Board of Dermatology is comprised of 17 Directors, including one public member. All Directors serve on the Board as volunteers. Directors write questions for ABD examinations as well as make ABD policy.

The ABD has five Content Development Committees: Basic Science, General Dermatology, Dermatopathology, Pediatric Dermatology, and Surgical Dermatology. These committees include Director members as well as non-Director members (dermatologists in the academic community and in private practice). Their task is to write questions for the examinations of the Board.
