Nominate a Board Observer

Nominate a Board Observer

The American Board of Dermatology (ABD) is committed to enhancing the value of Board Certification.  Evolving philosophies concerning continuing certification, as demonstrated by the American Board of Medical Specialties’ (ABMS) Vision for the Future Commission, coupled with advances in technology are altering expectations for and methods of physician assessment. In order to gain the perspectives of  younger physicians and to obtain input from recently certified dermatologists the ABD wishes to regularly appoint an ABD-certified physician as a Board Observer for a three-year term.

Eligibility:
The candidate must have earned ABD certification between 2014-2018.

Requirements:
Must be currently participating in continuing certification.
Must be available to attend two annual weekend Board of Directors meetings in the Chicago area in June and November.
Must be available to participate in two annual BOD calls in March and September.

Compensation:
The Board Observer, as well as all Directors of ABD, is not compensated beyond travel, lodging, and meal expenses.

Nomination Deadline:
August 16, 2019

If you wish to self-nominate or nominate a colleague, please complete the ABD's Online Nomination Form
