“I think this has been an excellent resource for locally relevant QI for MOC credit. Of course, what makes it worthwhile is the local effort put in to the design of the project. Melanoma Dashboard project allows us to identify and resolve our attributed melanoma patients who have dropped off the radar unexpectedly and no longer get regular follow-ups. While sometimes there are reasons for this drop off, many times, there are simply miscommunications that have occurred. Over time, we track improvements in our population re-establishing for 'quality care' of getting surveillance for melanoma. The portfolio program is not available for all institutions, but we are very active in many fields in our institution, and the projects are always easily customizable to a particular field's local quality initiatives. This brings MOC right into the clinic with me.”
