AAD MICROGRAPHIC DERMATOLOGIC SURGERY (MDS) SUBSPECIALTY CERTIFICATION EXAM PREP COURSE

September 11-12, 2021
Las Vegas, NV
Bellagio Las Vegas

Prepare for the American Board of Dermatology’s new subspecialty certification exam in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (MDS) with the AAD’s dermatology surgery review course. Join us in-person in Las Vegas, Nevada or attend virtually and live stream the session September 11-12.

NEW! - All attendees will receive access to the content after the meeting to continue studying for the exam. Content will be available by September 17 and accessible until October 8.

This will be a question and explanation-based course covering the subjects outlined in the American Board of Dermatology’s (ABD) MDS Exam Study Guide and is based on the expected knowledge and skills obtained through fellowship training in micrographic dermatologic surgery. Attendees will be able to answer the questions using Audience Response, benchmark against their peers and self-identify areas for additional study prior to the exam.

While the content is based on the ABD’s Study guide, the questions are developed by course faculty and not the ABD.

Learning objectives

At the conclusion of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Describe the concepts surrounding tissue and slide preparation and slide interpretation.

  • Identify various repair types and understand the overarching concepts of wound healing.

  • List the staging systems for common cutaneous malignancies as well as the indications for adjunctive diagnostic tests and therapy.

  • Discuss eligibility requirements and structure of the MDS Subspecialty Certification Exam.
